Fort Collins Rowing Association Mission Statement
The Association is being organized to promote and facilitate rowing in the Fort Collins, Colorado area, in order to foster amateur athletic competition in rowing at the national and international levels. This entails identifying and enrolling members, obtaining access to bodies of water which are suitable for rowing, renting or purchasing rowing equipment such as shells (boats) and sculls(oars), renting or purchasing storage facilities for the equipment, providing coaching either from within the association or by hiring outside coaches, participating in races organized by other clubs, sponsoring rowing races locally, and sending teams to compete in events at the national and international levels. Learn-to-row programs are integral parts of established rowing clubs and will be offered as part of our mission of building and sustaining a community of rowers in Northern Colorado.
